White House after Osama Bin Laden announced dead

I got off a train from Philadelphia, ran to a bar and listened to the Presidents speech before joining a few thousand other people at the White House.  It felt weird, almost like people were celebrating someone’s death, but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.   Take a look at the video below to see what the scene was like:

  1. I too agree that it seems odd that people are celebratig the death of person. Perhaps what it is being celebrated is not the death of a single person, though it appears that way, but the end of a bitter and painful chapter in American history. Could it be that people are cheering and celebrating that we have made it through to the other side, as better individuals who care more about what is truly important and that only positive things will begin to happen in and to this country?
