Murder. Homicide. One Eight Seven.

It’s something that ideally I’ll never have to directly deal with in my life because it is a senseless act that destroys families and causes pain to thousands every year. If it is ever going to be completely stopped though, it needs to be completely understood. Sadly in most markets, murders are out of the newspaper within a few days. Luckily for the last two years in Washington DC, Homicide Watch has been tracking and reporting on homicides from crime to conviction. By putting reporters in the courtroom and centralizing primary source documents, Homicide Watch is preparing the data that can hopefully be used to give us a better idea of how to prevent their from being so many victims.
